Covid-19 has drastically affected our lives in both positive and negative ways. What our team wanted to do is mostly capture the positive aspects of quarantine. We did that by researching what people have been doing to pass the time. In doing so we found a lot of hobbies that people have been getting into and that I feel like a lot of us could relate to. For example baking, art, self-care, cleaning, fitness, and many more other hobbies. Although we put most of our focus on the positives of quarantine we added a little bit of the negatives like missing friends. Also, we researched the effects Covid-19 has had on mental health. One thing we found interesting was that 51% of people expect their lives to go back to normal. While 48% percent of people expect their lives to change because of the pandemic. Approximately 36% of adults had trouble sleeping, 32% found it difficult to eat and 12% found that they increased their alcohol consumption over this pandemic. So the pandemic has affected many people in many different ways.
In our film, there are different types of people during this lockdown, and wanted to show as realistically as possible how people were affected by being by themselves for six months trapped with their thoughts, without friends, and left with the urge to tend to new hobbies they have always wanted to do but never had the time or the energy to do at the end of the day and of course, there are some that choose to focus on themselves like a workout, do face masks, etc.
